We are seeking to fill the position of Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Manager to manage and drive the procurement department.

Key Objectives of the Role:

• Procurement & Sourcing
• Refine, implement and continually improve procurement policies and strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements – supply chain management.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations. ✓Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Supply Chain Management
• Forecast demand and plan supply needs in collaboration with internal departments.
• Manage inventory levels, stock control, and replenishment strategies.
• Ensure risk management, continuity planning, and sustainability across the supply chain.
• Implement systems for tracking, monitoring, and reporting supply chain performance.
• Logistics & Distribution
• Plan and oversee logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and delivery. Coordinate import and export processes, ensuring compliance with customs and trade regulations.
• Monitor distribution networks to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Optimize logistics costs while ensuring efficiency and reliability.

Experience & Expertise

Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong price negotiation and vendor relationship skills.
• Working knowledge of supply chain and inventory management tools.
• Experience working with international vendors, including shipping, importation into and within East African countries
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good knowledge of the key drivers and success factors that drive effective procurement and supply chain management
• Knowledge of solar PV and batteries is a plus
• Computer skills in MS word and Excel
• Must be willing to travel up to at least 50% of the time across East and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS or CPSP preferred (will be an added advantage).
• Proven experience, at least 5+ years of procurement, logistics and supply chain management.
