POSITION OVERVIEW

  • The Pre-Sales Consultant will play a critical role in supporting the Business Development team by designing, positioning, and presenting tailored technology solutions that meet client needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT pre-sales, bid management, and solution conceptualization, with excellent communication and client-facing skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to develop winning bid strategies and create opportunities from scratch.
  • Conceptualize innovative IT solutions and represent them effectively through presentations and proposals.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of proposals, ensuring quality, timeliness, and full compliance with client requirements.
  • Define and manage bid plans, including schedule, resource allocation, and budget requirements.
  • Ensure strict adherence to internal processes, policies, and documentation standards.
  • Interface with internal teams, subject matter experts, and external stakeholders to prepare compelling bids and negotiate pricing.
  • Conduct client presentations, product demonstrations, and technical discussions.
  • Analyze competitive pricing and market trends to support bid benchmarking.
  • Manage multiple opportunities concurrently while maintaining quality standards.
  • Coach and guide team members to enhance proposal quality and timeliness.
  • Conduct internal training sessions on bid management best practices.
  • Support cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, Marketing, Business Support Services) as needed.
  • Ensure repository updates and 100% MIS compliance for all team deliverables.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) or Business Administration (MBA).
  • 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in IT pre-sales, business solutions, or bid management.
  • Proven experience as an IT Pre-Sales Consultant or in a similar client-facing technical role.
  • Demonstrated experience handling international clients (especially US, Middle East, and Africa regions).
  • Strong skills in proposal writing, bid management, RFP/RFI response, and tender participation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities — comfortable engaging with C-suite executives.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect technical solutions to client value and ROI.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and other presentation tools/software.
  • Solid understanding of the technology sales cycle and ability to support sales teams effectively.
