People Associate
- We are seeking to recruit a People Associate to join the People team and support HR and office administration duties. The successful candidate should possess exceptional communication skills, strong organizational skills, and be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- The role will be based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- People and Culture Support
- Assist in recruitment process, including job posting, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, drafting offer letters and employment contracts.
- Support employee onboarding process and offboarding by ensuring all meetings are scheduled and required documentation is completed.
- Support performance review processes by sending the communication, tracking progress and sending reminders.
- Assist in implementing wellbeing programs, employee engagement and company culture initiatives.
- Help manage people’s team policies, ensuring all staff have signed the employee handbook and are informed of the guidelines and employee benefits.
- Manage the onboarding and offboarding of employees on the medical insurance cover.
- Drafting of bank, Visa and employment letters.
- Manage work permit applications.
- Address people team related employee inquiries and escalate concerns as needed.
- Office Administration
- Oversee inventory management and ensure office supplies are well-stocked.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe office environment.
- Support IT in coordinating work tools sourcing, issuance and collection upon joining and exiting.
- Manage office correspondence, and documentation ensuring compliance with data protection act.
Qualifications and experience:
- Relevant qualification in human resources, office administration, or a related role.
- 2+ years of experience in human resource management.
- Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diversed workforce
- Must have excellent analytical, interpersonal and people skills.
- Must have excellent emotional intelligence, including empathy, awareness and be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- French speaking, added advantage
