Credit Analyst

What you will do:
- Authenticate documentation presented for all credit applications.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s credit rules & procedures.
- Appraisal of customer loan applications and making recommendations.
- Ensure all applicants are advised on the fate of applications within a reasonable time.
- Active participation in Credit Committee.
- Analyze applicant’s financial status and credit histories to determine the feasibility of granting loans.
- Communicate all changes regarding the credit rules and procedures to the sales staff.
- Any other duty that may be assigned.
- To evaluate, review and approve boda boda credit applications to determine if borrowers meet the set criteria as per the rules.
- To ensure that credit appraisals and all documentation are properly collected, processed and filed as required
- To ensure prompt feedback and closure of all boda boda credit applications
- To ensure loan facilities are released on time
- Establishing a risk management culture that promotes good analysis, judgment, flexibility and a balance between risk and reward
What you will need:
- Diploma/ Degree in B.com- Finance option or related field.
- 2+ experience as a Credit Analyst.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Excellent knowledge of record-keeping.
- Ability to adapt quickly and work independently.
- Fluent in English and Swahili.

Method of Application
What you will do:
- Support clients visiting the branch by addressing inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Feedback loop with CX in HQ.
- Logging complaints and queries in provided system.
- Ad hoc tasks, like NPS measurements, customer surveys etc.
- Generating loan statements and providing final balance upon request.
- Process account amendments as required.
- Update client records and information in ERP.
- Assist in the preparation of reports.
- Research, identify, and resolve customer inquiries/complaints using applicable software.
- Escalate unresolved issues through Power App or route calls to the appropriate resources and ensure completion of call logs.
- Follow up customer calls where necessary.
- Any other duties assigned.
What you will need:
- Bachelor or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven background in customer care or client-facing roles.
- Fast and efficient in handling customer needs.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to changes in processes and systems.
- Strong customer experience and relationship management skills.
- Excellent phone and email etiquette.
