Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must: —
- Must be a Kenyan citizen
- Have a bachelor’s degree in any of the following mining/mineral processing engineers or civil engineering from a recognized university.
Additional requirements
- Ability to handle technical issues effectively;
- Ability to write, edit and compile comprehensive;
- Skills to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues;
- Quality of being honest and non-corrupt;
- Ability to work with minimum supervision

Method of Application
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
- Gathering information on programmes and significant events,
- Editing stories on topical issues in a specific sectoral area,
- Liaising with media practitioners and the public on issues of mutual concern,
- Scheduling interviews with Government officials, and managing assigned projects and programmes under the guidance of the head of the section,
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following; Mass Communication, Communication Studies, Journalism, International Relations, Social Sciences, or any other approved equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
- At least three (3) years’ experience in Public Communication in the public or private sector;
- Possess good oral and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili; and
- Be proficient in Information Communication Technology including use of internet and intranet services.
