Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the implementation of departmental strategies on ICT infrastructure to align with the corporate strategy;
- Manages implementation of corporate ICT disaster recovery and business continuity strategies;
- Directs development of ICT system controls and access management, including monitoring, control and evaluation of system use to promote system safety and security;
- Controls development and implementation of hardware and software standards for networks, servers, databases, and ICT services;
- Plans, coordinates, monitors and evaluates the development and implementation of systems and project activities;
- Manages effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and administration of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure;
- Undertakes periodic review of ICT systems projects and procedures and recommends improvements;
- Ensuring Business continuity by performing regular data and application backups.
Vacancy Requirements:
- A minimum of four (4) years relevant work experience Mandatory
- Bachelor’s Degree in: Computer Science/Information CommunicationTechnology/Business Information Technology or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution; Mandatory
- Registered by a relevant professional body/ society where applicable Mandatory
- Relevant ICT certification from recognized certification bodies Mandatory
- Supervisory Course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution Mandatory

Job Purpose / Executive Summary
Accreditation officers are responsible for managing the accreditation process of universities and specialized degree awarding institutions and academic programmes in these institutions
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Spearheads identification of gaps and formulation and periodic review of regulations, standards and guidelines and other instruments used in programme accreditation;
- Overseeing training of peer reviewers;
- Coordinating the preparation of validation and accreditation reports;
- Providing custody for approved academic programmes;
- Assigning academic programmes to relevant officers for evaluation;
- Convening programme evaluation and site inspections Meetings; and
- Spearheading identification of gaps and formulation and periodic review of regulations, standards and guidelines and other instruments used in programme accreditation.
- Coordinating staff development and performance management in the department
- Providing advisory services to institutions on the process of institutional accreditation
- Liaising with the relevant department for the development of standards, guidelines and processes for institutional accreditation
- Making recommendations to the Commission on institutions to be considered for award of LIA and charter
- Recommending institutions for final inspection
- Coordinating the evaluation of institutions for purposes of advising on their suitability to offer university education
- Providing advisory services to the Commission on the accreditation of institutions
- Recommending peer reviewers for commissioning
- Coordinating staff development and performance management in the department
- Coordinating preparation of departmental budget, quarterly/annual work plans and procurement plans

- Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Education, Business Administration, Law, Social Sciences or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution Mandatory
- Masters Education, Business Administration, Law, Social Sciences or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution. Mandatory
- Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution Mandatory
- Membership of relevant professional bodies and in good standing Mandatory
