Duties and Responsibilities
- Implementing nutrition programmes
- Providing nutrition services in health care facilities
- Conducting nutrition assessments; collecting and compiling nutrition data
- Providing nutrition health education and demonstrations
- Counselling of patients with specific nutritional needs
- Monitoring preparation of therapeutic feeds
- Implementing outpatient and inpatient supplementary and therapeuticfeedingprogrammes
- Promoting maternal, infant and young children feeding programmes
- Providing micronutrient supplementation
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –
- Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized training institution
- A registration certificate from the Kenya Nutritionists and Dieticians Institute
- A valid practicing from the Kenya Nutritionists and Dieticians Institute
- Certificate in computer application skills will be an added advantage
