Required Minimum Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate:
- Must hold an earned PhD in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field from an accredited and recognized university.
- Must possess specialization in Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and/or the Internet of Things (IoT).
- Must be a strong Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church believer, committed to upholding and promoting the values, mission, and philosophy of Adventist education.
- Must demonstrate a strong research background, with evidence of scholarly publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals and/or conference proceedings.
- Must have teaching experience at university or college level.
- Must demonstrate the ability to integrate technology, research, and innovation into teaching and learning.
- Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach and facilitate learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels through lectures, seminars, workshops, tutorials, and other modes of delivery as assigned by the Head of Department.
- Participate in curriculum development, academic advising, and other departmental academic activities.
- Develop, administer, and mark examinations, assignments, and continuous assessment tests.
- Prepare and update learning materials and maintain accurate records to monitor student progress, achievement, and attendance.
- Provide academic advising and guidance to students to support their academic and personal development.
- Contribute to the development, planning, and implementation of high-quality curricula.
- Participate in research activities, including writing research proposals and applying for research grants.
- Participate in the organization and delivery of departmental and faculty seminars.
- Contribute to departmental, faculty, and/or university-wide committees or working groups as required.
- Uphold and promote institutional values, ethical standards, and the spiritual mission of the University.
- Perform any other duties which may be assigned or delegated by the University administration.
