The Security and Safety Manager will oversee all aspects of security and safety across the school, including policy enforcement, emergency preparedness, incident management, risk assessment and supervision of security personnel. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership, crisis response and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and enforce school-wide security and safety policies and procedures.
- Lead and manage the security team, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, safety drills (fire, lockdowns, etc.), and emergency preparedness training.
- Monitor CCTV systems and coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies.
- Collaborate with school management and external agencies to ensure safety compliance and effective communication.
- Prepare and manage the security budget, ensure proper maintenance of surveillance equipment, and advise on security installations.
- Supervise school access control, including vehicle passes, visitor management and contractor supervision.
- Support school trips and transport logistics with security intelligence and route assessments.
- Investigate incidents thoroughly and provide professional reports and recommendations.
- Promote a culture of safety, respect and awareness across the school community.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminology and security studies or a related field. A master’s degree is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in a similar role, preferably in an educational institution.
Certified training in security or safety from recognized institutions such as:
- Kenya Institute of Security and Criminal Justice (KISCJ)
- International Safety Training College (ISTC)
- Or equivalent military or police service background with relevant leadership experience.
- Professional certification in Occupational Health and Safety is highly desirable (NEBOSH, OSH).
- Working knowledge of Kenya’s Private Security Regulation Act, Health and Safety laws, and emergency response procedures.

Reporting to the Head of Early Years, the Class Teacher will be responsible for delivering highquality teaching and learning, fostering a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment, and supporting the overall development of each child. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is committed to the academic, emotional, and social growth of our young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver well-structured and engaging lessons aligned to the British National Curriculum.
- Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and learning materials tailored to learners’ abilities.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and integrate technology to enhance learning.
- Create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment in the classroom and beyond.
- Monitor and assess student progress, maintain records and update parents on their child’s progress.
- Provide pastoral care and behavior guidance, promoting emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with colleagues in co-curricular and cross-curricular activities.
- Maintain effective communication and partnerships with parents and the school community.
- Contribute to continuous professional development and participate in school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.
- At least 5 years of teaching experience in Key Stage One within a British National Curriculum setting.
- Registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and curriculum training.
- Sound knowledge of early years pedagogy, differentiated instruction, and modern assessment methods.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to inspire, nurture, and guide young learners in a multicultural setting.
- Should have taken courses in child safeguarding.
