POSITION OVERVIEW
- Our client is a vibrant retail brand combining supermarket and pharmacy services with a fresh deli section designed to offer ready-to-eat meals and snacks for our customers. We are looking for a Kitchen Helper / Assistant Chef to support our deli team in preparing high-quality food and ensuring excellent customer service
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the chef in preparing and cooking meals, snacks, and baked items.
- Wash, chop, and prepare ingredients for daily menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Assist in stocking, receiving, and storing kitchen supplies.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Support plating and packaging of food for display and customer orders.
- Provide excellent teamwork support to ensure smooth deli operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Certificate/Diploma in Food Production, Culinary Arts, or related field preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in a kitchen, deli, or restaurant environment.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, hygiene, and safety practices.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
- Team player, reliable, and energetic.
- Passion for food and customer service.
