Hospital Pharmacist

This role is essential in ensuring the safe, effective, and rational use of medicines within the hospital. The Hospital Pharmacist will provide accurate dispensing, clinical guidance, and pharmaceutical care to patients and healthcare providers, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and supporting improved patient outcomes. 

Requirements

Minimum Requirements 

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm). 
  • Registration and valid practising license with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board. 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ post-internship experience in a facility of similar size. 

Key Competencies 

  • In-depth knowledge of drug therapies, pharmacovigilance, and patient counselling. 
  • Proficiency in dispensing, medication therapy management, and drug utilization reviews. 
  • Competence in using Health management systems and pharmacy management systems. 
  • Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary clinical teams. 
  • High standards of ethics, confidentiality, and professional conduct. 
  • Communication and problem-solving skills to engage patients, clinicians, and stakeholders. 
  • Ability to supervise, mentor, and support pharmacy staff as delegated.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • CHRP certification or other relevant HR credentials (added advantage).
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a busy HR function within a medium to large organization.
  • Solid understanding of Kenyan Labour Laws and HR best practices.
