- We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Human Resources Intern within Jubilee Asset Management Limited. The position holder will report to the Senior Human Resources Business Partner and will be based at our Head Office in Nairobi.
Role Purpose
- The Human Resources Intern will assist the Human Resource Business Partner in offering vital administrative assistance, guaranteeing seamless operations and aiding in diverse HR functions. The role holder will also be required to assist in executing strategic HR tasks and facilitating communication within the HR department and other business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment Support. Assist in posting job vacancies on the company website, social media and internally. Screen resumes and shortlist candidates. Schedule interviews and coordinate communication with candidates. Assist in conducting background checks and reference verification.
- Employee Onboarding. Prepare and process new hire documentation. Assist in conducting orientation sessions for new employees. Ensure all onboarding activities are completed in a timely manner.
- Benefits Administration. Support the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, pensions, and other company benefits. Assist in the enrolment and update of employee benefits records. Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits.
- Employee Records Management. Maintain and update employee files, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality. Assist in the digitalization and organization of HR records.
- Employee Engagement. Support the planning and execution of employee engagement activities and events. Assist in gathering feedback from employees and contributing ideas for improvement.
- HR Projects. Participate in HR projects and initiatives, providing support in research, data analysis, and reporting. Assist in the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- HR Administration. Handle general HR administrative tasks, including preparing HR correspondence, reports, and presentations. Support the HR team in day-to-day activities as needed.

Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor’s degree in a business or management related field.
- IT proficiency (proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Relevant Experience
- Prior internship or part-time experience in HR or administration is an advantage but not required.

Role Purpose
- The role holder will be responsible for leading a team of Direct Sales Officers to achieve assigned sales targets through acquisition of new business and cross-selling of health insurance products. He/She will coach, motivate, and develop the sales team to deliver high performance, ensure excellent customer experience, and drive market penetration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Execute tactical sales initiatives to increase business volumes and market share.
- Conduct regular market intelligence to identify new opportunities, trends, and competitor activity.
- Drive achievement of team sales targets for health insurance products through effective planning and forecasting.
Operational
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop a high-performing team of Direct Sales Officers.
- Support sales agents in field activities including customer presentations, product demonstrations, and client onboarding.
- Continuously monitor individual and team performance and take corrective actions to ensure achievement of KPIs.
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales performance reports.
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Underwriting, Customer Service) to resolve client queries and improve customer experience.

- Ensure adherence to compliance, regulatory, and underwriting requirements during the sales process.
- Ensure sales quality by enforcing proper documentation and ethical selling practices.

Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional training or certification in Sales
- Professional training or certification in Insurance.
Relevant Experience
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in direct sales, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leader role. Prior experience in insurance, banking, telecom, or financial services preferred.
