Job Purpose

The Executive Driver will be responsible for providing safe, efficient, and professional transportation services to the Company Director. This role demands exceptional driving skills, discretion, and a commitment to the highest standards of professionalism. In addition to chauffeuring duties, the driver will manage the company’s fleet operations, ensuring vehicles are properly maintained, serviced, insured, and fueled. The role also includes support for logistics and errands related to the Directors Office.

Key Responsibilities

Executive and Personal Transportation

  • Safely transport the Company Director to meetings, events, airports, and other appointments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Plan and select the most efficient routes, accounting for traffic and road conditions to ensure punctuality.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring comfort and discretion at all times.

Vehicle and Fleet Management

  • Maintain the assigned vehicle in impeccable condition, ensuring cleanliness, regular servicing, and mechanical soundness.
  • Conduct routine checks on fuel, oil, brakes, tires, and other key components.
  • Schedule and coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs, and insurance renewals with approved vendors.
  • Oversee the condition and maintenance of the company’s fleet, ensuring vehicles are always roadworthy and well-maintained.

Confidentiality and Professional Conduct

  • Handle all matters and communications with strict confidentiality and integrity.
  • Demonstrate discretion and professionalism in all interactions.

Logistical and Administrative Support

  • Run errands, including delivery and collection of documents, packages, and other essential items as required.
  • Support the Executive Assistant or Office Manager with logistics and ad hoc travel-related tasks.

Safety and Regulatory Compliance

  • Comply with all traffic laws and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and up-to-date licenses and certifications.
  • Stay informed about current road conditions and potential safety concerns.

Flexibility and Availability

  • Be readily available for early morning, evening, weekend, and holiday assignments as required.
  • Respond to last-minute schedule changes with a proactive and professional attitude.

Qualifications and Experience

Education & Certifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Documented defensive driving skills and training.

Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of local and regional routes, traffic patterns, and GPS navigation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and fleet operations.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional driving experience, preferably in a corporate or executive environment.
  • Prior experience with fleet coordination or management is a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily a driving role with possible waiting periods during meetings or events.
  • May require extended hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the Directors schedule.
  • Occasional travel outside the Nairobi area may be required.

Performance Metrics

Method of Application

About the client:
Our client, a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality aluminium windows, doors, and façade solutions, is seeking to hire an Accounts & Tax Officer (CPA K). The role will be responsible for managing end-to-end finance operations including daily accounting, statutory tax compliance, receivables/payables, and collections. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate books of accounts, timely statutory filings, disciplined credit control, and strong cashflow management in a manufacturing/projects environment.

Key Responsibilities

1Core Accounting & Month-End Close:

  • Post daily journals and maintain AR/AP ledgers, fixed assets, prepayments, and accruals.
  • Perform reconciliations (bank, M-Pesa, till, supplier, and customer accounts).
  • Assist in monthly close and prepare supporting schedules for management accounts.

 Tax & Statutory Compliance

  • Prepare and file VAT, PAYE, WHT, and other statutory returns on iTax.
  • Ensure eTIMS-compliant invoicing and maintain proper tax documentation.
  • Reconcile VAT & WHT ledgers to iTax and track WHT certificates for suppliers/customers.
  • Support external audits and respond to KRA queries.

Accounts Receivable & Collections:

  • Issue invoices, credit notes, customer statements, and payment receipts.
  • Manage collections through reminders, calls, dispute resolutions, and escalations.
  • Monitor DSO, credit limits, and overdue accounts; recommend risk actions where necessary.

 Accounts Payable & Treasury:

  • Process supplier invoices using a three-way match (LPOGRNInvoice).
  • Maintain AP aging, reconcile supplier accounts, and track retentions/withholdings.
  • Assist with cashflow forecasting and maintain daily cash book.

 Inventory & Costing Support:

  • Post GRNs and stock adjustments with proper approvals.
  • Support inventory management through cycle counts and quarterly stock takes.
  • Assist with project/job costing by capturing labor, logistics, and variation costs for accurate COGS.

 Systems, Controls & Documentation:

  • Enforce SOPs and Delegation of Authority with strong audit trails.
  • Maintain proper filing systems (digital & physical).
  • Ensure discipline in ERP/accounting systems (QuickBooks/Sage/Zoho/Odoo) and suggest automation improvements.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • CPA K (or CPA finalist) and member/eligible for ICPAK.
  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • 3- 4 years relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or project-based environments.
  • Proficiency in iTax, eTIMS, and accounting/ERP systems.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivots, lookups).
  • Excellent documentation and compliance discipline.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in inventory control and job costing.
  • Exposure to ISO 9001 or internal audit processes.
  • Basic reporting skills in Power BI/Data Studio.
