Garment Production Supervisor

Key Responsibilities
Production Management
- Supervise daily garment production operations to ensure targets are met.
- Allocate tasks to workers and monitor performance and productivity.
- Ensure proper workflow from cutting, stitching, finishing, and packaging.
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks quickly.
- Maintain adherence to quality standards at every production stage.
Quality Control
- Conduct quality checks on materials and finished garments.
- Enforce inspection standards to reduce defects and rework.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
Material Sourcing & Inventory Management
- Source fabrics, trims, accessories, and production materials from reliable suppliers.
- Assess material quality, negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, pricing and delivery reliability.
Market & Industry Knowledge
- Monitor market trends in designs, fabrics, accessories, and production technologies.
- Recommend improvements in designs or processes based on market insights.
- Benchmark competitors’ production standards and align company processes.
- Stay updated on global supply chain and fashion industry developments.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Train and guide production staff on processes and quality standards.
- Promote teamwork and ensure a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with designers, sourcing teams and sales departments for planning.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare monthly production reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety, labor laws and operational policies.
- Monitor usage of materials to reduce wastage and control costs.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
- Diploma or Degree in Textile/Fashion Technology, Production Management or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in garment manufacturing or textile production.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, industrial machines and production processes.
- Knowledge of market trends, materials, trims and supplier networks.
- Experience in material sourcing and vendor management is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Support
- Identify, target and acquire new clients such as schools, corporate organizations, factories and institutions.
- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to clients.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Prepare and submit quotations, tenders and proposals for uniform contracts.
Market Research & Industry Knowledge
- Monitor industry trends in school uniforms, staff uniforms and corporate wear.
- Study competitor pricing, quality and market strategies.
- Provide feedback on designs, materials and styles based on customer needs and market demands.
- Identify new market segments and business opportunities.
Product Knowledge & Technical Understanding
- Understand garment construction, fabrics, trims and customization options for uniforms.
- Communicate technical requirements clearly to clients and production teams.
- Recommend suitable materials based on durability, comfort and branding requirements.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
- Handle client enquiries, follow up on orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with production and design teams to meet client specifications
Marketing & Brand Promotion
- Develop marketing strategies to promote uniform products.
- Visit institutions and organizations for product pitching and brand visibility.
- Participate in exhibitions, school events and corporate activations.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales reports and market feedback.
- Provide weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
- Track leads, follow-ups and conversions.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
- Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Fashion/Textile Technology or related field.
- 2–5 years’ experience in sales, preferably in uniforms, textiles, garments, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of staff and school uniform markets.
- Experience in B2B institutional sales is an added advantage.
