Key Responsibilities

  • Effective School Management and Planning
  • Oversee daily school operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for school growth and improvement.
  • Build and maintain a positive, inclusive school culture that encourages learning and teamwork.
  • Teaching and Evaluating Staff Performance
  • Teach selected classes to model high-quality instructional practices.
  • Mentor and support teachers, recommending workshops and professional development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Set performance targets aligned with school goals.
  • Manage staff attendance, records, and leave per policy.
  • Facilities, Health & Safety
  • Ensure all school facilities are well maintained.
  • Enforce policies on facilities management, health, and safety.
  • Monitor compliance with health regulations and safety standards.
  • Financial Management
  • Ensure prudent financial management within approved budgets.
  • Oversee expenditures and resource allocation.
  • Manage procurement of supplies and learning materials.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Engage parents, community members, and government agencies.
  • Hold regular meetings to provide updates on school progress and initiatives.
  • Marketing
  • Work with the marketing team to grow student enrollment.
  • Represent the school at community events.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, alumni, and the community.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Teacher or Deputy.
  • Mature, competent individual aged 35+.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Master’s preferred).
  • Registered with TSC.
  • Experience with CBC curriculum.
  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.

Method of Application

  • To ensure optimum utilization of machine capacities, utilities, and production systems by providing engineering support, maintenance oversight, and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

Key responsibilities of the successful candidate;

  • Maintenance & Equipment Management
  • Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and factory infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation faults to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain updated maintenance records and equipment manuals.
  • Ensure availability of critical spare parts and tools.
  • Production planning &support
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance and production efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as machine uptime, efficiency, and energy usage.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements and technological upgrades.
  • Project Management
  • Lead installation, commissioning, and testing of new machinery or plant expansions.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, layouts, and project documentation.
  • Manage contractors and suppliers during engineering projects.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance
  • Ensure all engineering operations comply with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
  • Train staff on safe equipment operation and maintenance practices.
  • Energy & Utility Management
  • Monitor energy and utility consumption (electricity, water, steam, compressed air).
  • Implement energy-saving measures and sustainability initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in production processes.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or Kaizen initiatives.
  • Develop cost-reduction and reliability improvement programs.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of factory quality systems such as ISO 9001
