Job Summary
The job holder is responsible for safeguarding the company’s assets, ensuring compliance, enforcement of company rules and regulations, undertaking intelligence operations, access control and surveillance for effective management of security risks.
Job Description
Duties and responsibilities
- Conducting ad-hoc inspections on all KenGen installations.
- Liaise with government agencies on security matters.
- Monitoring contract administration for KenGen and Security service providers and reporting any deviations;
- Processing, verifying and confirming the authenticity of monthly security invoices by security service providers for accurate payment.
- Drafting Standard Security Standing Procedures and work instructions;
- Ensuring systematic filing and documentation of all security files and reports;
- Collecting, collating and preserving evidence including documents, exhibits and statements;
- Ensuring all security issues are documented in the integrated security management system.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Security Studies, Criminology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

Duties and responsibilities
- Compiling and submitting procurement plan
- Processing purchase requisitions (PRs) from user department
- Inviting tenders /quotations for goods, works and services as per the procurement law
- Drafting procurement professional opinion (PPOs) papers in liaison with users department
- Assisting in preparation of memos for tender opening and evaluation committee members
- Evaluating tenders in accordance to the evaluation criteria
- Preparing tender evaluation reports
- Drafting of notification of award letters
- Raising purchase orders for goods, works and services for subsequent approval
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Procurement & Supplies Management, Business Administration-Procurement Option, or other relevant field from a recognized Institution.
