Indian Cuisine Chef
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, biryanis, dosas, and street food. Follow traditional Indian cooking techniques and use authentic spices and ingredients.
- Ensure timely preparation and presentation of meals according to restaurant standards.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.
- Manage inventory and assist in sourcing high-quality ingredients.
- Monitor and control food costs while minimizing waste. Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop and experiment with new Indian recipes to enhance the menu.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as an Indian Cuisine Cook in a restaurant, catering service, or hotel.
- Strong knowledge of Indian spices, herbs, and cooking methods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Certification in Culinary Arts or relevant training is a plus.
