Requirements for Appointment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Information Communication Technology/ Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Business Information Technology
  • Certificate in Computer applications
  • Significant experience in the field or a related one will be an added advantage
  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process data for use by the Department.
  • Provide technical support to the ICT users.
  • Check computers for fraud and viruses.
  • Identify and clean any virus traced.
  • Manage the County Public Service Board Website and Recruitment portal in liaison with the ICT Department.
  • Carry out systems analysis, design and program specifications in liaison with users of the specific sectors within the Board
  • Ensure that the computer network is well maintained and managed.
  • Managing systems security, performing backup and restore procedures
  • Maintain utmost confidentiality and security of passwords.
  • Implement county ICT strategy, standards and guidelines;
  • Oversee Installation and configuration of Local Area Network and Wide Area Network;
  • Ensure that the system documentation and operations manuals are available and maintained.
  • Ensure implementation of maintenance schedules for the computers.
  • Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
