Requirements for Appointment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Information Communication Technology/ Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Business Information Technology
- Certificate in Computer applications
- Significant experience in the field or a related one will be an added advantage
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
Duties and Responsibilities
- Process data for use by the Department.
- Provide technical support to the ICT users.
- Check computers for fraud and viruses.
- Identify and clean any virus traced.
- Manage the County Public Service Board Website and Recruitment portal in liaison with the ICT Department.
- Carry out systems analysis, design and program specifications in liaison with users of the specific sectors within the Board
- Ensure that the computer network is well maintained and managed.
- Managing systems security, performing backup and restore procedures
- Maintain utmost confidentiality and security of passwords.
- Implement county ICT strategy, standards and guidelines;
- Oversee Installation and configuration of Local Area Network and Wide Area Network;
- Ensure that the system documentation and operations manuals are available and maintained.
- Ensure implementation of maintenance schedules for the computers.
- Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
