Human Resources Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive recruitment, selection, and onboarding to attract and retain top talent.
  • Manage disciplinary processes, performance management, and separations in line with labour laws.
  • Oversee employee relations, union engagements, and welfare programs to foster a positive work environment.
  • Coordinate training, orientation, and professional development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Kenyan labour laws, employment regulations, and DOSH requirements.
  • Administer compensation, benefits, leave management, and health schemes.
  • Lead policy development, employee handbooks, and organisation development initiatives.
  • Manage workplace safety, health, wellbeing programs, and WIBA claims.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in HRM, Social Sciences, or related field (Postgraduate Diploma/CHRP an added advantage).
  • Minimum 5 years’ progressive HR experience in a busy, fast-paced organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws & industrial relations practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
