Mission Description

• Based in Nairobi and reporting to the Financial COntroller, the candidate will be responsible for:-
• Posting of general accounting Journals
• Prepare accounting journals
• Ensure journals are properly approved before booking
• Post approved journals in the accounting system
• Match general ledgers
• Management of staff accounts
• Post staff account vouchers
• Regularly review outstanding staff balances and follow up for expense booking
• Prepare payroll deduction list where balance is outstanding for long
• Communicate outstanding balances with staff
• Matching staff account
• Follow up on staff final due for payment
• Review staff airtime and fuel consumption to ensure no overutilization
• Inter-company accounts management
• Analyze inter-company ledger balances
• Follow up on intercompany billings
• Prepare inter billing (418200) balance report
• Regular match off inter-billing accounts
• Follow up on disputes in inter-billing accounts
• Bank reconciliations
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
• Review and resolve reconciling items in bank reconciliations
• Liaise with Treasury to close outstanding items in the bank reconciliations

General duties

• Prepare and submit payroll by products. Eg Nssf, Nhif, AHL,NITA and other payroll related deductions
• Prepare and submit with holding taxes
• Support customer matching
• Support end month closing process
• Relieve senior accountants when on leave

Profile

• Business Degree
• CPA (K), ACCA, CFA or equivalent
• Working knowledge of SAP
