Key Responsibilities:
- Assist management in evaluating the school’s existing ICT systems and infrastructure to identify areas for improvement;
- Develop and implement a data governance framework to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the institution’s data;
- Manage and monitor the organization’s telecommunications infrastructure, including phones, mobile devices, and internet connectivity;
- Manage and monitor the institution’s servers, storage, and virtualization infrastructure, including cloud-based systems;
- Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures for the procurement, installation, and maintenance of hardware and software assets;
- Collaborate with central managers and heads of schools to develop and implement a business continuity plan to ensure the school can continue to operate in the event of an ICT system failure or disruption;
- Develop and maintain documentation of the school’s ICT systems and infrastructure, including user manuals, standard operating procedures, and technical specifications;
- Manage and monitor the school’s backup and recovery systems to ensure data can be recovered in the event of a disaster or data loss;
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure the smooth integration of ICT systems and infrastructure with other institution systems;
- Monitor and manage the institution’s ICT-related expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints;
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners, vendors, and service providers to ensure access to the best quality products and services at competitive prices;
- Monitor the school’s information security program, including risk assessment, vulnerability management, and incident response;
- Assist operations department to conduct regular security awareness training to educate staff on how to identify and avoid common cyber threats;
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement ICT solutions to improve the school processes and efficiency;
- Provide technical support to staff and users of the school’s ICT systems and infrastructure, including troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent
- Additional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA A+, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in an ICT-related field
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and creative individual with high integrity and good professional standing
