Job Specifications
Duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail assisting in:

• Developing documentation of computer programs according to instructions and specifications; 
• Installing and configuring computer systems and solutions; 
• Maintaining application systems;
• Providing end user support and training users on effective and efficient use of ICT facilities;
• Maintaining up to date equipment register;
• Installing, configuring and monitoring Local Area Network components;
• Administering and managing users in the Active Directory, e-mail server and User applications;
• Updating ICT equipment register and issuance register;
• Maintaining the Institute’s website; and
• Ensuring Business continuity by performing regular data and application backups.

Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade an officer must have at least:

• Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields: Information Technology, Computer Science, Business IT, Software Engineering, ICT Project Management, Computer Engineering or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution; and
• Minimum KCSE C+ (plus) or its equivalent.
