The Relationship Manager (RM) plays a critical role in driving sales, strengthening client relationships, and supporting the operational efficiency of the MDC. The RM is responsible for B2B acquisition and retention, achieving sales and collection targets, and ensuring top-tier service delivery. This role also includes assisting with stock management and operational tasks to maintain high product quality and ensure seamless order fulfilment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Client Management
  • Proactively identify, engage, and onboard new B2B clients for fish, Ice flakes and chicken products.
  • Manage and grow relationships with walk-in and corporate clients to maximise repeat business and customer lifetime value.
  • Follow up on sales leads, inquiries, and customer feedback to convert prospects and improve service.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales and revenue targets.
  • Ensure 100% payment collection on all product sales, with ZERO outstanding debt.
  • Support and process orders for walk-in customers at the MDC while ensuring a professional customer experience.
  • Customer Service
  • Serve as the key contact person for assigned accounts, ensuring fast and effective resolution of client issues.
  • Educate clients on product options, pricing, and availability to drive informed purchases.
  • Maintain updated and accurate customer records and sales logs in CRM or other assigned systems.
  • Stock and Operational Support
  • Receive, verify, sort, and store incoming stock to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Conduct periodic stock counts, quality checks, and participate in packaging and labelling to uphold quality standards.
  • Support the timely and accurate dispatch of orders to both walk-in and corporate clients.
  • Compliance and Reporting
  • Comply with company policies, operational procedures, and cold chain product handling standards.
  • Submit accurate and timely reports on:
  • Sales performance and collections
  • Customer interactions and service issues
  • Inventory movements and dispatch records

Method of Application

  • We seek a skilled and dedicated Mobile Veterinarian to support poultry farmers.The role involves visiting 12 farmers daily for 5 days to 10 days each month to improve poultry health, productivity, and farmer livelihoods through vaccinations, treatments, and extension services. This position is critical to reducing disease-related losses and building resilience in a challenging arid region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Field Visits:
  • Conduct 60-120 farmer visits monthly (12 per day, 5-10 days/month depending on location) to assess and treat poultry flocks.
  • Veterinary Services:
  • Administer vaccinations (e.g., Newcastle Disease) and basic treatments for common poultry ailments.
  • Perform health checks and recommend management improvements.
  • Farmer Training:
  • Educate farmers on biosecurity, disease prevention, and basic poultry care during visits.
  • Reporting:
  • Document each visit (e.g., number of birds treated, issues observed, Mortalities) and submit a monthly report by the 15th of the following month.
  • Coordination:
  • Work with the project team to schedule visits and ensure supply of vaccines and materials.

Qualifications

  • Education: Certificate or diploma in Animal Health and production from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 years of practical experience with poultry, ideally in rural or arid settings.
  • Licensing: Valid veterinary practice license from the Kenya Veterinary Board.
