Requirements for Appointment
- Be a Citizen of Kenya;
- Bachelor’s degree in Museum Studies, Anthropology, History, or a related field from a recognized institution;
- Experience in heritage management and artifact preservation; and
- Strong organizational and research skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preservation, cataloguing, and exhibition of cultural artifacts;
- Coordinate research and documentation of local cultural heritage;
- Design and manage public education programs and cultural exhibitions;
- Ensure proper storage, security, and conservation of museum items;
- Develop partnerships with heritage institutions and stakeholders; and
- Manage daily operations of the South Eastern Heritage Centre.
