Contractor – Trainer

  • Contractors are not entitled to pay while travelling to and from leave. The first day of pay is the day of arrival in the country of operations from leave. The last day of pay is the day of departure from the country of operations for leave.

Visa Requirements

  • The company will pay for all visa requirements to enable the contractor to enter the required jurisdiction.

Package

  • GardaWorld will provide the Independent Contractor with appropriate accommodation, insurance, flights and life support while on duty.
  • Food, Accommodation and General Expenses:
  • Company will provide the Contractor with food, drink, transportation, and accommodation as necessary whilst the Contractor is engaged in a project.
  • If Company is unable to provide the Contractor with food, accommodation and transportation, except as set forth below for inbound and outbound travel to the project location, Company shall either provide a per diem at an agreed rate or reimburse to the Contractor for any travelling, hotel and other expenses reasonably incurred by him in the proper performance of his duties under this Agreement. In the case of the latter, the Contractor must provide Company with such vouchers and receipts or other evidence of actual payment of such expenses as Company may reasonably require. The Contractor shall seek the prior approval by Company for any individual expenses incurred under this Agreement.
  • Flight Package
  • GardaWorld will provide an economy class return ticket per off duty rotation to the project location from a hub airport as close as reasonably practicable to the Contractor’s declared home address.
  • The Contractor will be asked to declare their preferences for a primary, secondary and tertiary hub airport from the GardaWorld hub list at the commencement of their engagement. Where possible and commercially acceptable, GardaWorld will look to book travel to and from one of the preferred hubs.
  • The Contractor will be responsible for any travel arrangements between the hub airport and their home address.  The Company will pay for any transfers from the airport near the project location or such other intermediate landing location to the Consultant’s accommodations at the project.

  • Further information can be found in the GardaWorld Contractor Travel Standard Operating Instruction (SOI), copy will be provided upon acceptance.

Role Requirements

  • General professional experience required
  • Military training experience at JCC / SCC level having served a minimum 3 years, with experience in Train the Trainer.
  • Operational or frontline trauma medic
  • RoSPA Diploma in advanced driving

Specific Professional Experience Required

  • Close Protection Level 3
  • Conflict Management (Minimum of Level 2)
  • Teaching Qualification: Award in Education & Training Level 3 as a minimum FREC 4 with an up-to-date CPD or higher (Essential) or
  • Registered Nurse or Paramedic
  • IQA medical qualification (Essential)
  • RoSPA level 4 Award Advanced Behavioural Driver Training (or equivalent) – minimum 18 months remaining (Essential)
  • Civilian Armoured Vehicle certificate (minimum VR7)
  • Must hold a valid driving licence with a minimum C1 category

  • Services the Contractor can expect to carry out, would include:

Scope of responsibilities:

  • Provide training to Host Country Nationals.
  • Ensure that training and assessments are conducted correctly for compliance.
  • Conduct courses and deliver training for Host Country Nationals as required throughout
  • Quality Assure that all training documentation is compliant and meets the GW business management system. Monitor and manage all training results on a central database
  • Advise GWCIL Management on all matters pertaining to training and compliance
  • Conduct client interface and meetings and business development
  • Produce written reports and training statistics for corporate management
  • Deliver training in support of GardaWorld training offerings and to maintain personal competencies by CPD
  • Required for instructional, quality assurance and quality control qualifications
  • Undertaking any other direction or reasonable request given by appropriate GardaWorld Management team in accordance with GW Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines.
