KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
People Management
- Following up with team members on set process flows and making sure that set TAT’s are adhered to.
- Quality check and control on all allocated existing clients and new business for team members
- Following up with insurer on issues & escalations from the team and resolving where necessary. Unresolved issues to be escalated to the Senior Risk Consultant.
Financial Reporting & budgeting
- Compile, verify & prepare financial reports for the medical department based on the figures captured by the team and share the report with Senior Risk Consultant.
- Carrying out Reconciliation exercises with underwriters and Zamara finance and making sure that the financial statements for schemes tally
- Facilitate payment of premiums/admin fees to underwriters in conjunction with finance department
Underwriting
- Scheme set up in the Beyontec system
- Invoicing for new clients, renewing clients and organic growth
- Reconciliation of accounts with finance and underwriters
- Issuance of travel cover policies
Database Management
- Acknowledgement of receipt of membership instructions from client
- Advising insurer on membership instructions received (additions & deletions)
- Accurate day to day membership updates in M-Files & Beyontec system
- Clean-up of renewal lists in M-Files and Beyontec system
- Preparation, verification for accuracy and dispatch of cards to client/ setting up clients on smart app
- Prepare and send Member statements for clients
Risk Management
- Anticipate and mitigate key elements of the risks within the company
- Maintain the risk registers for the company
- Assess the financial impact of the risks stipulated in the risk registers and check whether sufficient mitigating strategies have been put in place
- Assess and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards
- Ascertain that the company uses appropriate insurance coverage
- Make sure that the company comply with all legal and regulatory requirements
- Ensure that record keeping by the company meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
- Investigate the findings of external auditors and recommendations.
