SCOPE OF WORK:

  • Under the line management of the Communications Manager and ICT Department of the Dev Transform, the service provider will be expected to undertake the following tasks: Web design and development: – Develop a layout and structure for the dynamic website capturing the latest trends for website presentations that are compatible and easily accessible to most standard devices’ browsers (Laptops, mobiles, and other handheld devices).
  • Integration with a Content Management System (CMS): preferably WordPress, based on the best user-friendly tools. We prefer to work with Drupal.
  • Integrate an effective search function: – allowing individuals to donate online directly on the website and transfer funds to Tax Justice Network Africa’s existing merchant accounts, with information deposited in our donor database. (MPesa, Pesapal integration)
  • Develop a user guide for the website and the CMS: – complete with the most common troubleshooting guidelines.
  • Disclaimer: TJNA may at any time, terminate the RFP without entering a contract and reserves the right to accept or reject any or all applications and is not bound to give reasons for its decision. TJNA is also not obligated to award the procurement to the firm that offers the lowest price.
  • Training: – Train the Advocacy and Communications and IT Department on updating content on the website and all DEVTRANSFORM Staff.
  • Transfer of Data: – Following an internal appraisal process, install the website on the hosting location and transfer all archived content from the current website into the new website (images, text, embedded video, PDFs, HTML, photo albums, etc.)
  • Maintenance: – Provide technical support, bug fixing and ongoing security maintenance.

WEBSITE FEATURES:

  • Site Design: –
  • A simple and attractive graphic layout that embodies our image and adheres to Tax Justice Network Africa (DEVTRANSFORM) branding specifications. The site must have an attractive mix of text and graphics that does not overwhelm the user. (Simplicity is key)
  • Interactive and user-friendly.
  • The website should be easy to navigate. Should have simple and intuitive navigation that allows users to easily identify where they are within the site and where they need to go.
  • Be mobile-friendly.
  • Media gallery: the website should have ready-made tools to create a photo/video gallery.
  • A design that allows regular improvements on look and features.
  • We suggest a 6-page site but are open to recommendations that will work best.
  • SSL/TLS secure connection and green bar enabled.
  • A video widget that allows us to pull in YouTube videos or any other site videos.
  • A widget that allows us to stream DEVTRANSFORM’s Twitter page feed.

CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM -CMS (DRUPAL):

  • We are looking for a highly user-friendly CMS which is easy to use and robust to support emerging website technologies- Preferably Word Press (open to discussions on this).
  • The CMS should be dynamic and allow content to be easily updated by staff without specialized web development skills.
  • Ability to incorporate all our social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) with live update options (e.g., Scrolling text). We insist on a live social media feed.
  • A Google Translate option, at least to French and Kiswahili.
  • Ability to work well with search engines.
  • Incorporate Google analytics.

Method of Application

Interested and Eligible consultants/consortiums are required to submit their application in the English language with the following specific information: –

  • Experience in similar assignments. ▪ Availability of appropriate key staff to be involved in the assignment.
  • A brief profile of the firm, including a description of the firm.
  • Proposed work plan and approach/methodology/concept.
  • The Technical and Financial Proposals must be submitted separately to (tender@taxjusticeafrica.net) by 10th July 2025 @5:00PM
