Commercial & Growth Officer
The successful candidate will lead business acquisition, market activation, and operational execution — transforming ideas into scalable programs, pipelines into closed deals, and partnerships into sustainable income. This role blends vision, outreach, sales execution, and operational leadership.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales Execution
- Develop and implement the commercial growth strategy.
- Drive lead generation, pipeline management, and conversion for the programs.
- Proactively identify and pursue new market opportunities across Kenya and the diaspora.
- Lead customer segmentation and targeted outreach across SACCOs, SMEs, cooperatives, gig workers, chamas, churches, and diaspora investors.
Marketing & Visibility
- Position the client as a top-of-mind, trusted brand across its target sectors.
- Oversee digital and traditional marketing strategy, brand visibility, and campaign execution.
- Plan and manage participation in expos, institutional events, community activations, and digital awareness drives.
- Develop and manage promotional material, training guides, and program communication.
Partnership Development & Ecosystem Engagement
- Forge and manage partnerships with SACCOs, corporates, NGOs, institutions, and influencers.
- Develop and formalize partner engagement plans and MOU frameworks.
- Drive institutional trust and referral networks across economic and community segments.
Program Operationalization
- Lead field rollout of GetDeals, Swift Asset Access+, AgriRevolve, and Diaspora Prosperity.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely onboarding, training, and activation of partners.
- Ensure programs are launched with real traction — not just design, but adoption.
Tracking, Reporting & Impact Measurement
- Build and manage a sales and partnership dashboard for internal accountability.
- Track KPIs on outreach, conversion, retention, and volume/value delivered.
- Provide regular updates to senior management and the board on progress and insights.
KPIs & Success Metrics
- Monthly growth in verified partners and signed-up users
- Closed partnership value across SACCOs, diaspora, SMEs, etc.
- Revenue or program uptake generated per category (GetDeals, AgriRevolve, etc.)
- Conversion rate from lead to onboarded user/partner
- Visibility metrics: media mentions, campaign reach, event turnout
- Partner satisfaction and repeat engagement rates
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum five (5) years of proven experience in sales, partnerships, business development, or commercial execution
- Track record of delivering revenue growth, scaling new programs, or launching platforms
- Strong network across retail, SACCOs, institutions, or the diaspora is an added advantage
