Role Overview
The Commercial Digital Lead will spearhead the development and execution of digital advertising sales strategies to drive revenue growth across the company’s digital platforms. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities to manage a high-performing sales team, collaborate across departments, and deliver innovative digital advertising solutions tailored to client needs.
Their key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute digital advertising sales strategies, including programmatic, direct sales, branded content, and sponsorships.
- Lead a high-performing digital sales team to achieve revenue targets.
- Collaborate with editorial, product, and tech teams to innovate ad products.
- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and client needs to stay ahead.
- Drive client acquisition, retention, and upselling opportunities.
- Set and track revenue targets, pipeline performance, and campaign success.
- Represent the company at industry events and agency meetings.
- Manage digital rate cards, pricing strategies, and revenue forecasting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
- 6-8 years of digital advertising sales & strategy experience.
- Strong knowledge of digital ad ecosystems (programmatic, social, video, native, etc.).
- Experience with media sales (publisher, agency, or ad tech platform).
- Proven track record in revenue growth and team leadership.
