Business Development Executive
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Sales
- Identify and actively engage potential clients through outreach, referrals, and networking
- Develop tailored engagement strategies for different market segments
- Conduct product demos, solution pitches, and boardroom presentations
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and deliver on acquisition targets
- Collaborate with internal teams (product, marketing, operations) to align on client needs
- Client Engagement & Account Management
- Build and manage long-term relationships to ensure client satisfaction and retention
- Guide clients through onboarding, training, and adoption of Craft Silicon solutions
- Collect and share client feedback to continuously improve products and services
- Market Research & Strategy
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and evolving customer needs
- Provide strategic recommendations based on industry and regulatory insights
- Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Deliver accurate and timely weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports
- Track KPIs and maintain up-to-date conversion and pipeline data
- Event Coordination
- Represent Craft Silicon in expos, forums, and business development events
- Support visibility and lead generation through strategic event participation
- Additional Duties
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in business development, preferably in fintech or financial services
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to build and convert a strong pipeline
- Strong understanding of SACCO, banking, and microfinance industry dynamics in Kenya
- Self-starter with a passion for technology and innovation
- Willingness to travel and meet clients as required
