We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Associate to join our growing team in Nairobi. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial acumen, a strategic mindset, and a passion for building lasting client relationships. This role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and contributing directly to revenue growth across diverse sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across multiple industries, building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, and lead generation.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to grow the client base, expand market presence, and achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Conduct client needs assessments and present tailored advertising, media, and marketing solutions aligned with their objectives.
- Lead the preparation and delivery of compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to secure new business.
- Negotiate contracts, close deals, and manage smooth onboarding for new clients while ensuring clear handover to internal teams.
- Build and nurture strong client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction, retention, and repeat business through continuous engagement and support.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts to increase revenue and deepen client partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with account executives, creative, and strategy teams to ensure seamless project delivery and impactful client outcomes.
- Support the execution of client solutions by aligning business development efforts with creative direction and strategic account plans.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform sales strategies and identify emerging opportunities and trends.
- Represent Vendeur Afrique Advertising at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to build visibility, brand presence, and generate leads.
- Track key performance metrics, analyze sales performance, and provide regular reports on pipeline health, revenue growth, and conversion trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally in advertising, media, or marketing.
- Proven track record of lead generation, deal closure, and revenue growth.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (Zoho CRM, Salesforce, or similar).
- Familiarity with digital marketing, media planning, and integrated campaigns is an added advantage.
