Assistant Security and Business Development Manager

Reports To: Security Manager / General Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Assistant Security & Business Development Manager supports the security department by ensuring operational excellence, compliance with security standards, and proactive business growth.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Security Operations & Supervision
    • Manage day-to-day security operations.
    • Supervise guards’ deployment, discipline, attendance, and performance.
    • Conduct routine and surprise inspections.
    • Ensure compliance with SOPs, OSHA, and client requirements.
  • Risk Management & Compliance
    • Conduct risk assessments and site audits.
    • Prepare investigation and incident reports.
    • Ensure compliance with Private Security Regulation Act.
  • Staff Training & Development
    • Train guards in emergency response, access control, and SOPs.
  • Client Relations & Contract Management
    • Support client onboarding, surveys, and review meetings.
  • Business Development
    • Identify new business opportunities.
    • Prepare proposals, quotations, and tender documents.
  • Administration & Reporting
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
    • Support billing accuracy and documentation.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Diploma or Degree in Security Management, Criminology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Additional training in business development is an added advantage.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING & CERTIFICATIONS

  • PSRA compliance training
  • Fire Safety, First Aid, CCTV Operations
  • Sales & Marketing training

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Strong security operations knowledge
  • Business development and negotiation skills
  • Leadership, communication, and conflict resolution
  • Report writing and client engagement
  • MS Office proficiency

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 3–5 years’ experience in private security, military, or policing.
  • Experience supervising guards.
  • Experience in business development is an advantage.
