Duties and Responsibilities
- Assigned work involving inspection of mines, quarries, explore, prospecting and mining concessions.
- Undertake simple mining engineering projects such as mine and rehabilitation;
- Study and familiarize with licencing procedures,
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must: —
- Must be a Kenyan citizen
- Have a bachelor’s degree in any of the following mining/mineral processing engineers or civil engineering from a recognized university.
Additional requirements
- Ability to handle technical issues effectively;
- Ability to write, edit and compile comprehensive;
- Skills to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues;
- Quality of being honest and non-corrupt;
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
