Assistant Ecde Teacher II

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implementing ECDE programs in the catchment area language
  • Conducting class teaching, role modeling, guidance, counseling, mentoring, and motivating learners
  • Preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessing and evaluating learners
  • Developing teaching and learning materials
  • Mobilizing the community and raising awareness on ECDE matters
  • Serving as a liaison between the child and parents
  • Providing advice on the implementation of the ECDE feeding program
  • Collaborating with Line Departments for child services and care

Requirements and Competencies
Applicants must have:

  • Diploma in ECDE from KNEC or its equivalent
  • KCSE with minimum grade of D+(Plus) or its approved equivalent, plus ECDE certificate
  • At least three (3) years of relevant experience
  • TSC registration
  • Proficiency in computer applications (an added advantage)
  • Merit and ability as reflected in work performance
