Assistant Chef
The Assistant Chef will support the Head Chef in meal preparation, execution, and kitchen management.
Duty Station: Veteran Mission Hospital
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Head Chef in daily meal preparation and plating.
- Prepare special diet meals under supervision.
- Ensure food quality and consistency for all patients.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen equipment and workstations.
- Assist in inventory management and stock monitoring.
- Support the Head Chef in supervising waiting staff and trainees.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Certificate/Diploma in Culinary Arts or relevant experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in professional kitchens.
- Knowledge of basic nutrition and hospital dietary requirements.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work in a team.
