AI & Automation Intern at Welcome Tomorrow
AI & Automation Intern
This is a high-impact role for a “builder” who loves to tinker, solve puzzles, and make processes smarter. Your missions will encompass the following:
- Researching & Experimenting: Investigate and test new AI tools, APIs, and platforms (especially for creative generation, marketing copy, and data analysis) to keep our operations on the cutting edge.
- Building Automations: Develop and deploy automation workflows (using no-code/low-code platforms and scripts) to streamline repetitive internal and client tasks, saving hundreds of hours.
- Developing Tools: Assist in building and maintaining internal tools for data ingestion, data analysis, and reporting, with a focus on the Google Cloud (GCP) ecosystem (e.g., BigQuery, Looker Studio, Cloud Functions).
- Driving Innovation: Collaborate with our Performance, Creative, and Analytics teams to identify and implement AI-driven opportunities that enhance campaign performance and creative output.
- Owning Projects: Take ownership of small-to-medium technical projects from research and concept to implementation and internal training.
- Documenting & Sharing: Create clear documentation for your tools and automations so others can learn from and build upon your work.
- Growing Your Skills: Participate in tech events and customer trainings to grow your skills and represent Welcome Tomorrow.
Qualifications You have:
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor or Master program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of Python (or another relevant language like JavaScript/Node.js) for scripting, data manipulation, and working with APIs.
- Hands-on experience with (or a strong, demonstrable interest in) cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud (GCP).
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, APIs, and the capabilities of large language models (LLMs).
- A true builder mindset: you love solving problems, have already built small apps, or automated your own life with code and tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical team members.
- A portfolio of technical projects (e.g., a GitHub profile, personal website, or class projects) showcasing your skills and passion.
