Duties and responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:

• drafting engineering drawings for agricultural machinery, equipment and structures;
• fabricating agricultural machinery and equipment;
• carrying out scheduled service and maintenance of machinery and equipment;
• carrying outfield demonstrations; and
• Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

 Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:

• Diploma in any of the following disciplines:- Agricultural Engineering; Soil and Water Engineering; Farm Power and Machinery; Irrigation and Drainage Engineering; Processing and Structures or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

OR

• Technician Part III Certificate in any of the following disciplines: – Agricultural Engineering; Soil and Water Engineering; Farm Power and Machinery; Irrigation and Drainage Engineering; Processing and Structures or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Certificate in computer application skills; and
• Registration with the Engineers Board of Kenya
