We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to assist the team in the receivables and payables processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely processing of invoices, resolving supplier disputes, and contributing to overall financial accuracy and efficiency within our organization in the Mombasa office.
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Management: record supplier invoices and manage cash collections.
- Petty Cash: post daily petty cash transactions and assist with reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: support monthly and quarterly reports; assist with audits.
- Documentation: maintain organized financial records in compliance with policies.
- Compliance: ensure adherence to financial policies and engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Staff may, from time to time, be assigned additional duties or responsibilities that are reasonably aligned with their skills, experience, and the operational needs of the organization
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and/or CPA Intermediate level.
- 1-2 years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., Tourplan, ERP software) and MS Office.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
