  • Based in Mombasa reporting tthe Security Manager -Mombasa, the successful applicant will be responsible for the following key result areas:
  • Asset Protection & Crime Prevention
  • Prevent theft, stock loss, and damage tcompany property across all MCT areas.
  • Detect and deter criminal activity within the premises.
  • Coordinate with outsourced security personnel tmaintain site integrity.
  • Gather internal intelligence on potential theft or misconduct and act promptly.
  • Access Control & Compliance Enforcement
  • Enforce the company’s drug and alcohol policy through regular Alco-blow testing.
  • Monitor staff, visitors, and contractor movement within restricted zones.
  • Ensure safety and security procedures are observed by all personnel on-site.
  • Implement and ensure adherence tISPS and internal security standards.
  • Carg& Documentation Verification
  • Conduct verification of staged outbound orders before loading.
  • Review loading, dispatch, and warehouse documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform 100% PVC checks on trucks flagged from weighbridge or with discrepancies.
  • Surveillance & Random Checks
  • Carry out random searches at the warehouse, staging zones, inbound, and outbound areas.
  • Observe warehouse operations and report inconsistencies or suspicious behavior.
  • Verify lock/seal integrity on containers and trucks when needed.
  • Monitor CCTV footage (if applicable) and escalate anomalies.
  • Incident Reporting & Daily Records
  • Report all incidents, including pilferage, tthe AGL Security Officer in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate shift reports, incident logs, and daily summaries.
  • Report and escalate any suspicious activity or safety violations.
  • General Support
  • Assist in investigations and follow-up on reported cases.
  • Provide support during audits, inspections, or compliance checks.

Method of Application

Mission Description

  • The purpose of this role is to provide quality customer service and facilitate clearance of Clients cargo with deliverables such as:-
  • Handle the day-to-day operational relationship with the Client
  • Receive orders from Clients (tariffs already validated through a quotation). In case of new business (new or existing client), a new quotation will be issued by Sales department
  • Request for missing documentation and more detailed instructions if necessary from the Client.
  • Inform the Client of the file processing progress in real time (standard or specific report, according to quotation)
  • Manage the file processing
  • Update the Client and the IFFOS on the file processing progress and update the monitoring software on the status of each file
  • Process export documentation for shipments
  • Book cargo with shipping lines
  • Organize transport for delivery of containers for stuffing /POR
  • Follow up with shipping lines on the arrival of vessels
  • Follow up on the receipt of invoices, attach the same to the relevant file and submit for approval
  • Prepare periodic statistics for the department-as backup to PA.
  • Update the system (W@Y)
  • Regularly archive the files (physically & electronically, once a month at least)
  • Ensure that client files have all the required attachments and copies of these maintained on file
  • Alert/Inform Management
  • Alert the Client in case of operational issues (potential or real) and escalate to the IFFO Supervisor the issues that you are unable to handle.

Profile

  • Diploma in Clearing and Forwarding
  • East Africa Freight Forwarding Practicing Certificate (EAFFPC) will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of Single Customs Territory
  • Two (2) years experience in a busy environment
