Job Purpose:
To support the smooth day-to-day operations of the depot, ensuring efficient handling, storage, dispatch, and documentation of products. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment to maintain high safety, quality, and operational standards.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Product Handling & Storage:
- Assist in receiving, offloading, and proper storage of fuel or products at the depot.
- Monitor stock levels and report any discrepancies to the Depot Supervisor.
- Ensure proper labelling, tagging, and organization of inventory.
Dispatch & Loading Operations:
- Load and prepare orders for dispatch based on delivery schedules.
- Ensure correct quantities and types of products are dispatched.
- Coordinate with drivers and dispatch teams for timely and safe deliveries.
Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations in the handling of petroleum or goods.
- Wear and maintain required PPE at all times.
- Report safety hazards, spills, or equipment issues immediately.
Record-Keeping & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate manual or digital logs of product movement and stock balances.
- Record deliveries, dispatches, and returns per company procedures.
- Participate in regular stock counts and reconciliation.
Depot Maintenance & Support:
- Keep depot areas clean, organized, and secure.
- Assist with equipment checks and minor maintenance tasks.
- Support the team in general depot activities as assigned.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Degreein Logistics, Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in depot, warehouse, or logistics operations (preferably in oil and gas).
- Working knowledge of stock management systems or ERP tools is an added advantage

Method of Application
To manage and reconcile all inventory-related financial transactions, ensuring accurate reporting of stock levels, movements, and valuation in compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. The Stock Accountant plays a critical role in inventory integrity, loss prevention, and financial reporting.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Accounting & Reconciliation:
- Maintain accurate records of all stock transactions including receipts, transfers, issues, and adjustments.
- Reconcile physical inventory against system balances and investigate variances.
- Ensure that stock movements are correctly and promptly recorded in the ERP/accounting system.
Costing & Valuation:
- Monitor and validate stock costing, including landed costs and valuation of inventory at month-end.
- Prepare and update stock provisions for slow-moving, obsolete, or damaged items.
- Assist in cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations and stock-related journal entries.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Generate timely inventory reports for internal use and audit purposes.
- Provide analysis on inventory trends, losses, and efficiency improvements.
- Assist in forecasting and budgeting stock-related expenditures.
Stock Audits & Controls:
- Support and coordinate periodic and ad hoc stock counts (cycle counts and full physical inventory).
- Monitor stock controls at warehouses, depots, or outlets to prevent pilferage, loss, and mismanagement.
- Work closely with operations and warehouse teams to enforce inventory best practices.
Compliance & Support:
- Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls, and relevant tax or audit requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits relating to inventory.
- Support other finance functions as needed.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA (Part II or above) or equivalent professional certification.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in inventory accounting, preferably in logistics, oil & gas, FMCG, or manufacturing sectors.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Odoo) is highly desirable.
- Proficient in MS Excel, including pivot tables and reconciliations.
