Role Overview:
- We’re looking for a proactive, data-driven Marketing Lead eager to drive Zeraki’s growth through effective performance and brand marketing strategies. Ideal candidates are digitally savvy, creative problem-solvers, passionate about education, and excited to scale a rapidly growing African brand.
Responsibilities:
- Strategy Execution:
- Implement and refine Zeraki’s integrated marketing strategy across both B2B (schools) and B2C (parents/students) segments.
- Execute full-funnel campaigns from awareness and acquisition to conversion and retention, maximizing customer lifetime value (LTV).
- Performance Marketing:
- Manage data-driven outreach campaigns, leveraging digital channels (Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, SMS).
- Oversee event marketing and on-ground activations at educational expos, workshops, and conferences (KESSHA, KEPSHA, EdTech summits).
- Continuously optimize funnel conversions via retargeting, personalized messaging, and behavior-driven triggers.
- Brand Marketing:
- Build Zeraki’s brand identity through consistent storytelling and emotional engagement across digital and offline channels.
- Foster community pride and advocacy through social proof, student success stories, and interactive digital campaigns.
- Analytics and Optimization:
- Monitor real-time dashboards, track key marketing metrics, and ensure continuous campaign optimization.
- Perform A/B testing to enhance campaign effectiveness, using insights to refine strategies proactively.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Product, and Tech teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives.
- Engage with creative agencies or freelancers to produce cohesive marketing assets and materials
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 2-4 years experience in digital or performance marketing (experience in startups or EdTech preferred).
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools (Google Analytics, Ads Manager, CRM systems).
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills, creative thinking, and the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Ability to learn quickly, thrive in a dynamic startup environment, and proactively seek opportunities for growth
