Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor of Law (LLB); Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with valid practicing certificate
• Minimum 10 years post-admission experience in corporate/commercial environments
• Strong expertise in real estate/property law (mandatory)
• Exposure to IP, data protection, regulatory compliance, and pharmaceutical is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Real Estate & Property Transactions: Lead legal support for property acquisitions, leases, developments, and disposals, including drafting, negotiation, due diligence, and regulatory compliance.
• Commercial Contracts & Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including manufacturing, distribution, services, NDAs, and shareholder agreements, and manage contract lifecycle obligations.
• Corporate Governance & Regulatory Compliance: Oversee statutory filings, licenses, permits, and ongoing compliance with Kenyan laws and sector regulations.
• IP, Data Protection & Legal Risk: Support protection of intellectual property, ensure data protection compliance under Kenyan law, and assist with litigation and dispute management.
• Advisory & Stakeholder Support: Provide legal support to management, board, and group entities on strategic and operational matters.
