Financial Controller( Agriculture) – Bomet County

Key Responsibilities.

  • Oversee the group’s accounting function, ensuring accurate reporting and effective financial policies.
  • Provide financial analysis and guidance to support business plans, targets, and key drivers.
  • Maintain robust, compliant financial systems to meet current needs and enable growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and resource the finance team for optimal performance.
  • Support annual budgeting by reviewing assumptions and market conditions.
  • Ensure timely compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, providing clear performance insights.
  • Coordinate annual and special audits with auditors and authorities.
  • Manage cash flow, collections, and working capital to strengthen internal controls.

Key Qualifications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA(K) or ACCA finalist).
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior finance or accounting role within a busy commercial enterprise, external audit, or consultancy firm.
  • Experience in the agriculture sector is an added advantage.
  • Self-confident, conscientious, and well-organized.
  • Strong written, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities effectively.
  • Capable of working independently and taking ownership of responsibilities.
  • High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
