Operations Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all daily operational activities to ensure efficiency and adherence to company standards.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to improve productivity and workflow across departments.
- Oversee order management processes, including order entry, picking, packing, dispatch, and delivery to ensure accuracy and timely fulfillment.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate with the procurement team to prevent stockouts or overstocking, and ensure proper inventory reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate operational records, including dispatch logs, stock movement reports, and production schedules.
- Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards across all operational areas.
- Supervise operational staff, assigning duties, monitoring performance, and conducting regular evaluations.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training of operations staff to enhance team competency and service delivery.
- Work closely with the logistics, warehouse, and sales departments to ensure efficient order flow and timely delivery to clients.
- Review operational data, analyze performance metrics, and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Oversee quality assurance checks to ensure products meet the company’s quality and brand standards before dispatch.
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks or inefficiencies that may affect service delivery.
- Lead regular team meetings to review progress, set performance goals, and communicate new policies or initiatives.
- Manage scheduling, attendance, and shift planning to ensure optimal staff coverage at all times.
- Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and operational tools to prevent disruptions and downtime.
- Liaise with suppliers, service providers, and transport partners to ensure reliability and efficiency in operations.
- Support budget management by monitoring operational costs and identifying cost-reduction opportunities.
- Enforce compliance with standard operating procedures, company regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Drive a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence across the department.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an operations or supervisory role, preferably within the retail, FMCG, or e-commerce sector.
- Proven ability to manage teams and coordinate cross-functional operations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accountability.
