Head Waiter

Job Description

  • Reporting directly to the Unit Manager, you will be responsible for the hands on supervision of food and beverage operations.  Your background within restaurant operations will be exceptional in order to lead and guide a team of food and beverage staff in order to deliver a consistently high standard of food and beverage service.  
  • Possessing distinct leadership qualities to provide a credible and mature role model, you will be passionate about food and beverage, with an exceptional knowledge of food, wine and beverages in order to train and develop a knowledgeable team skilled in all aspects of service.
  • Above all you will need to be a passionate and adaptable individual who will enable you to connect and converse with our guests who visit us from all over the world, bringing our unit to life and of course providing the very best in hospitality.
  • With this in mind, you will probably already be an experienced F&B Team Leader, Supervisor or Head Waiter, with a proven track record gained within a quality hotel/restaurant environment. You will be well versed in the day to day supervision of teams, and have experience within training and development which will form part of your day to day role.  

Qualification

  • Diploma in hotel management/other relevant tertiary qualification
  • 2 year’s experience as an F&B Supervisor or Head Waiter
  • Good communication skills – written and oral
  • A passion for customer service
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Work in a team environment with minimum supervision.
  • Good presentation
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours/shifts
  • POS experience (MICROS)

Method of Application

Your main role shall be to deepen aftersales through prospecting, lead generation, customer engagement and sales in your region. In this role, you will work closely with the dealer to deliver exceptional total ownership experience by ensuring customer satisfaction, maximizing vehicle uptime, revenue generation and supporting business growth in the aftersales segment.

The key responsibilities include:

 Attainment of Revenue targets – per part line and revenue

  • Drive sell-out sales (Revenue and SKU expansion) across assigned dealerships.
  • Achieve or exceed dealer revenue targets through proactive planning and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure adherence to sales policies and procedures and recommend process improvements.
  • Collaborate in setting annual sales objectives for the territory.
  • Conversion rates from the sales funnel.

Customer support

  • Support customer engagement through forums, feedback collection, and new product communication.
  • Adherence to CRM usage & route plans.
  • Timely escalation of customer issues to the dealer.

Reporting

  • Daily collation of target achievement.
  • Track and Analysis monthly trends within assigned markets.
  • Prepare dashboards for weekly reviews.
  • Submit regular reports on territory performance, dealer metrics, and action plans.

Market intelligence

  • Monitor and report on competitor activities.
  • Provide customer insights through identification and suggestion of parts or services that will meet their needs.

Market activation

  • Plan and execute ground marketing initiatives i.e. road shows, market storms, and activations.

Minimum Qualifications

The minimum qualifications include the following:

Education and experience

  • Graduate Degree or Diploma/Certificate in automotive/mechanical engineering.
  • Understanding motor vehicle parts and service is an added advantage.
  • KCSE C –
  • At least one year’s experience in outdoor sales, marketing, promotions, merchandising, or brand ambassador experience.
