Finance/HR & Administration Department Intern

Reports to: Finance Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day finance operations, including filing, data entry, and record keeping.
  • Assist in preparation of payment vouchers, receipts, and petty cash reconciliation.
  • Help with HR and administrative tasks such as maintaining staff records, drafting correspondence, and logistics support.
  • Support audits, donor compliance, and procurement processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Officer.

Qualifications:

  • Ongoing or recently completed degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, HR, CPA, or related fields.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and office administration.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality.

General Requirements

  • Strong interest in community development, women and youth empowerment, and nonprofit work.
  • Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work both independently and in a team.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Must be a resident of Kisumu County or willing to reside in Kisumu County during the internship period.
