The overall purpose of the job is the demonstration of critical skills to public health students within public health laboratories, field trips and public health installations.
Qualifications and work experience:
- At least a diploma in environmental health or public health from an accredited or recognized institution.
- At least two (2) years industry / working experience.
- Evidence of work experience in a teaching institution.
- Laboratory / research experience is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Must be registered by public health and the technician’s council with a valid practicing license.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct practical teaching sessions to undergraduate students.
- Actively participate in research activities within the field of public health.
- Engage in community outreach initiatives related to public health.
- Oversee and support the management of public health laboratory.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students on career development.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the university through the relevant offices.
