Key Duties
• Lead a small group of engineers and contractors who work on civil and structural tasks
• Review and guide studies, checks, and evaluations needed to address design issues
• Set work plans, keep schedules on track, and guide task priorities
• Offer steady support and training to team members who need help in key areas
• Review civil system design needs and update plans based on project direction
• Answer vendor questions, check vendor files, and approve files that meet project needs
• Support design certification steps for products such as BWRX 300, VTR, and Natrium
• Track and understand rules set by U.S. and international nuclear agencies
• Work with partners, suppliers, and other groups on technical topics
• Add design needs to project files, checks, and written updates
• Take part in reviews tied to quality needs and related program rules
• Use sound engineering methods to solve issues linked to design and analysis

Required Background
• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related engineering field
• At least eight years of work in an engineering or technical role
• Ability to work in the United States
• Ability to access and use export-controlled data, pending U.S. approval
Preferred Background
• A master’s degree in engineering
• Five to eight years of experience in nuclear or industrial engineering
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural design
• Skill in core engineering rules and methods
• Ability to write with clarity and speak on technical topics
