About the Role
As a Level 3 Instructor, you teach advanced skiing techniques to guests who expect high-quality instruction. Your role involves guiding individuals and groups, keeping lessons clear and accessible, and making sure every guest feels safe and supported on the snow.
You work in a high-altitude, winter environment where weather changes fast. You must be able to lead lessons with confidence, respond to emergencies and maintain a calm and friendly presence. You also help train other instructors when needed and keep the teaching areas organized.
Your work includes helping guests with equipment, guiding them on and off lifts and making sure they understand each step of the lesson. You support guests of all ages and adjust your approach based on their skill level and needs.
What You Will Do
You begin each day by reviewing the lesson schedule and checking conditions on the mountain. You match students to the right skill level and adjust the lesson when needed. You explain techniques in a simple way and demonstrate movements clearly.
During lessons, you support guests physically when they fall or need help getting up. You help them load and unload chairlifts safely. You keep a close eye on weather, terrain and the overall safety of the group. You also help with daily ski school tasks such as registration, guiding guests to equipment areas and keeping teaching spaces clean.
When working with children, you stay with them at all times, support them during meals and make sure they return to the correct guardian. You reinforce a safe, fun environment and follow ski school safety standards.
Qualifications
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
You must hold a current PSIA or AASI Level 3 certification, or a foreign equivalent.
You need past experience as a ski or snowboard instructor.
You must speak and write English fluently.
You need strong guest service and communication skills.
You must work well with a team and complete a background check.
You must be physically able to stand, lift and move in snowy and cold conditions.
You must be available for weekends and holidays.
Preferred Skills
Experience teaching guests of different ages is helpful.
Knowledge of the local area or resort is a plus.
Experience teaching or mentoring children is useful.
Spanish language skills are an advantage.
