About the Role
The Housekeeper position focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment for both short-term and extended-stay guests. This role requires efficiency, reliability, and strong attention to detail. You will be responsible for cleaning guest rooms, refreshing supplies, maintaining equipment, and supporting the overall cleanliness of common areas. The work contributes directly to the property’s reputation for quality service and enhances the guest experience from arrival to departure. You will often work independently, but collaboration with team members and the General Manager is essential to ensuring that cleanliness standards, safety protocols, and operational guidelines are consistently met.
Responsibilities
- Clean assigned guest rooms thoroughly, including floors, bathrooms, kitchenettes, surfaces, and furnishings
- Perform deep cleaning tasks following guest checkouts, including detailed sanitation of appliances and high-touch areas
- Replenish room supplies such as linens, towels, toiletries, and consumables
- Remove trash, sanitize bathrooms, mop floors, dust surfaces, and maintain room presentation
- Restock and organize housekeeping carts to ensure proper supply availability
- Maintain cleanliness of assigned common areas such as hallways, stairwells, and lobbies
- Identify and report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to the General Manager
- Follow company cleaning procedures, housekeeping standards, and safety requirements, including the correct use of PPE
- Support team operations by completing additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience advantageous but not required
- Ability to read and follow written instructions in English
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no current or future visa sponsorship available
